Washington (dbTechno) – President-elect Barack Obama continues to gain support as his plan for health care reform becomes closer to being a reality for citizens of the United States.
Barack Obama has been touting his plans to fix health care ever since he began his time on the campaign trail, and will now carry those promises into office with him in the White House.
The Obama health care plan aims to try to bring health insurance to the masses, with 47 million Americans still not covered.
The proposed health care plan of Barack Obama is believed to carry a price tag of around $50 billion per year.
In the long-run though it will likely mean that more Americans will have health insurance, lowering overall health care costs and such.
The time is now for health care reform in the U.S. as those who are low income cannot afford health insurance, but need it badly due to them being sick at times.
Barack Obama is not only gaining support from people in the U.S., but doctors, health insurance companies, and others.
The support is there, as the time has come to implement true health care reform.
As before I mentioned this but will try again..
Medicare for ALL Medicaid>> dump it..
Medicare covers all..what they(Medicare) does not pay–Doc/Hospital/Med’s) eat it or they can file form to collect more from Medicare..elderly and the like pay no more…we all have payed enough…
after years of dealing with my mothers Medicare/Medicaid(later) and her needing another ins. to take up the slack(which did not for everything) I never understood untill then the problems my kids will run into when I get to that point..So saying that ….
Why not everyone on Medicare>> scrap Medicaid…
No extra Ins. needed..Medicare for everything and everone…
What Medicare does not pay for the Doc/Hospital/Med’s(will need to file for the extra if they want it–or try and get it) but the people pay nothing else…period..
Cost: Much of the cost discrepancies at the end of life could be lessened by great emphysis on a universal expansion of mandated and effective preventive health measures early in life, and alteration of life style behaviors that are health destructive.
Examination of other health care systems in other industrialized countries which are more effective in quality, outcome, cost, accessability, equity of benefits reveals two common provisions: they remove profitability form insurers and drug makers!
A common Universal Information Technology Record System, totally inter- compatable with all health agencies and providers is essential to eliminating waste, duplicity and errors and lessening costs.
Revamping the medical education system to conform to the need for Primary Care Providers as the basis for health care; establish a National Medical Advisory Committee to regulate evidence -based, quality / outcome procedures, and balance DEMAND for care with the SUPPLY of care, so that equity of care, quality of care, length of stay costs, and outcomes are optimized.
Unify and make equal all health care benefits for all citizens, anywhere in the world.
