The CDC has come out and reported that the salmonella outbreak has been sweeping the U.S. as there are now at least 388 people who have been infected.

The cases of salmonella began to appear as early as September 3, 2008, with the latest being on December 31, 2008.

Out of the 388 cases, nearly 70 of them have resulted in people being taken to the hospital.

Certain states are being hit harder than others in the salmonella outbreak as California has the most cases.

They, along with Ohio, have both been confirmed to have over 50 cases of salmonella.

Other states are who up there over 30 include Massachusetts as well as Minnesota.

The following states who have yet to be hit by the salmonella outbreak include New Mexico, Montana, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Alaska, and Hawaii.

The investigation continues with studies into the salmonella outbreak as they try to track down those sick to see when and where they contracted it.

  • Let’s hear it for local farmers using organic, sustainable practices.
Central distribution moguls get their produce from all over, distribute it to different states, and it is incredibly difficult to trace down the source or sources of contamination. Factory farms are also part of the problem using antibiotics on animals regularly and crowding animals together in horrifying conditions, then releasing powerfully contaminated water into the surrounding area. For those readers who do not know what a “factory farm” is – visit one sometime – you’ll never feel the same about eating meat again.

  • AHHHHH whats happening to the world??
I hope God comes soon because I love him
