Boston (dbTechno)- Kellogg Co. has announced a recall of 16 products which all contain peanut butter due to the latest salmonella outbreak.
Kellogg Co., based in Battle Creek, Michigan, announced early in the week that they were starting to inform grocery stores to remove certain products from shelves.

As a precaution, they told stores to remove their Keebler crackers product which contains peanut butter.
They have progressed quite a bit since there though as they have now announced a formal voluntary recall of 16 products which all contain peanut butter.
The recall that has been announced by Kellogg includes all Austin and Keebler branded Peanut Butter Sandwich crackers, as well as Famous Amos Peanut Butter Cookies, Keebler Soft Batch Homestyle Peanut Butter Cookies, and others.
Kellogg released a statement saying that they apologize for the current situation.
They stated that this shows their full commitment to consumer safety.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been working hard with the FDA as well as states to continue the salmonella investigation.
To this point, the outbreak has hit 43 states and infected over 400 people, resulting in 5 deaths in total.
