The study was carried out by researchers in the UK as they worked to follow 3,000 children from the day that they were born, up until the age of 11.

At the start of the study, none of the children had asthma or asthma symptoms.

On a yearly basis, the researchers would go and talk to the parents of these kids.

They would be questioned about things such as hobbies including television viewing habits, asthma symptoms, etc.

What they found was that overall, 6% of the kids had developed asthma by the age of 11.5.

Children who were allowed to watch at least two hours of television on a daily basis were twice as likely to develop asthma compared to those who did not watch as much TV.

This shows a direct link between watching too much TV and asthma.

The study has been published in the journal Thorax.
