New Polypill Being Seen As Super Pill To Prevent Heart Disease

Washington (dbTechno) – Researchers have come out and announced the successful development of a new 5-in-1 polypill which could greatly reduce the risk of heart disease in many.

The polypill is very unique as it is a combination medication which contains things to help blood pressure, cholesterol, blood flow, etc.

The study was carried out on this new polypill by Salim Yusuf and was presented at the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology.

For the study, they focused on 2,053 patients in total who were all from India.

Each and every one of the patients were recruited by the researchers from heart centers between March 2007 and August 2008.

The idea behind the study was to see just how effective this polypill could be.

They then compared the polypill to individual pills used to help blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.

What researchers found was that the new pill works, and it works very well.

Researchers believe the polypill could cut the risk of heart disease by 60%, and the risk of stroke by 50%.

The polypill was able to reduce blood pressure, and help control cholesterol, as well as heart rate effectively.
