No Criminal Misconduct Found In Case Of Missing Army Vials

April 23, 2009

There has yet to be any criminal misconduct found in the case of the disappearing vials of a virus from the Army biomedical facility, Fort Detrick...........Washington (dbTechno) - There has yet to be any criminal misconduct found in the case of the disappearing vials of a virus from the Army biomedical facility, Fort Detrick.

Three small vials of what is known as the Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus disappeared from the Army biomedical facility without a trace.

These items went unaccounted for last year, sparking a major investigation by the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command.

The investigation is seemingly going to be coming to a close soon though as the probe is just about done.

There appears to be not much more that investigators can do, as no criminal misconduct has been found in the case.

They disappeared from Fort Detrick’s infectious disease laboratory in Frederick, Maryland.

The particular virus here is a mosquito-borne virus which can cause symptoms similar to the flu, but can be more serious, causing death as well.
