FDA Approves New Botox Rival Dysport To Treat Wrinkles

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given the thumbs up to Dysport, a drug to treat wrinkles that will rival Botox.........Washington (dbTechno) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given the thumbs up to Dysport, a drug to treat wrinkles that will rival Botox.

The FDA gave approval to Ipsen SA and Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp to sell their new drug Dysport.

The drug is very similar to the way in which Botox works, as it comes in the form of an injection.

When used, it has the ability to help with wrinkles people develop on their skin.

The FDA gave approval to Dysport for both aesthetic and therapeutic uses.

The plan is to start selling the drug within the next 30 to 60 days.

Once on sale, it will be priced lower than Botox, with the hopes that it will be able to take some market share away from the wildly-popular drug.

This comes as the FDA ordered a stronger warning label to be added to Botox.
