Washington (dbTechno) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the recall of a dietary supplement known as Hydroxycut due to potentially dangerous side effects. The supplement has also been linked to the death of one user as well.
The FDA put out a release this week in collaboration with manufacturer Iovate Health Sciences Inc. in order to warn consumers about the dangers of Hydroxycut.
The release stated that everyone should immediately stop using the Hydroxycut products.
There are 14 products in total included here, which all help in terms of increasing your energy levels, burning fat, etc.
This recall comes after there have been multiple reports of dangerous side effects from taking the drug.
The FDA itself has received nearly two dozen reports which link Hydroxycut to heart problems, liver problems, etc.
In one case, the supplement was linked to the death of a patient due to liver failure.
Hydroxycut products are very popular, as they are sold all over the world to consumers.
The company stated on their web site that they have voluntarily recalled all Hydroxycut branded products, agreeingw ith the FDA.
