Britain Says They Can No Longer Contain Swine Flu

According to the British government, containing swine flu in the country is no longer an option
Boston (DbTechNo) – According to the British government, containing swine flu in the country is no longer an option.

They say that this is the case because cases of the virus are being reported at a staggering rate, and no slow down is in site.

The health ministry states that by the end of August, there could be as many as 100,000 new swine flu cases reported each day.

What will change? Those close to infected people will no longer be given drugs, as they will be kept to treat those actually diagnosed with the virus.

Those reporting symptoms of the virus will not be tested for it, another way the government hopes to relieve some stress from their health system.

The government stress that their “treatment phase” does not mean that the virus is more deadly, just that they can no longer keep up with reported cases.

Since swine flu emerged in Mexico earlier this year, it has since swept the globe infecting more than 33,000 people.

More than 120 people have died from swine flu, the majority of whom from Mexico.
