Rate of Childhood Obesity Skyrocketing Across America

Boston (DbTechNo) – A report released last week found that the rate of obesity is on the rise in America in both adults and children.

The report found that in more than 30 states, the rate of obesity is on the rise in both adults and in children with no slow down in site.

Only the state of Colorado was found to be home to under 20% of obese adults and children living in the country.

The report was put together by two groups; the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

When it comes to childhood obesity, the rate is at the highest that it has ever been at, 3 times that of what it was in the 80′s.

The report estimates that more than 35% of all children living in America are obese, a frightening statistic for sure.

Being obese as a child is very dangerous health wise, as it puts the child at severe risk of diabetes and other health problems when they become older.
