August 19, 2009

Boston (DbTechNo) - A drug maker in China has stated they have developed a swine flu vaccine that works in only one dose.
The company, Sinovac, have been conducting clinical trials on their vaccine candidate and have reported positive findings.
The clinical trial featured more than 1000 people, all of whom who received the vaccine responding very well to it.
“After receiving one shot of the vaccine, none of the volunteers participating in Sinovac’s clinical trials exhibited any signs of severe adverse reactions,” the company said in a statement.
“The analysis of the clinical trial results showed that the A(H1N1) vaccine developed by Sinovac induces good immunogenicity after one dose,” they said in a statement.
Swine flu has taken the world by storm, killing more than 1000 and infecting hundreds of thousands more.
A vaccine is still not on the market to protect people from it, but as we see by this latest breakthrough one is not far off now.
