Queen Victoria Spinach Tainted with Salmonella Bacteria

A California based company is recalling spinach after it was found to be contaminated with salmonella bacteria
Boston (DbTechNo) – A California based company is recalling spinach after it was found to be contaminated with salmonella bacteria.

The name of the company in question here is Ippolito International, and the majority of the effected spinach was sold under the “Queen Victoria” label.

In total, the company is recalling more than 1750 cartons of the tainted spinach which was distributed to retail and food service buyers.

They are also recalling some cartons of spinach sold under the “Tubby” label, distributed to California and New York.

The company shipped cartons to California, Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and British Columbia, Canada.

Symptoms of salmonella poisoning include; vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps.

So far no illnesses have been reported resulting from people eating tainted spinach.
