Web Sites Selling Flavored Cigarettes Despite FDA Ban
November 9, 2009

Boston (DbTechNo) - Those web sites continuing to sell flavored cigarettes are in big trouble as the FDA have sent letters warning them to stop immediately.
The agency recently banned the selling of flavored ciggies, but many online companies continue marketing them to consumers via the internet.
Flavored cigarettes may smell better and taste better than regular smokes, but they are just as deadly.
In total, the FDA have sent warning letters to 12 online companies, asking them for evidence that they have complied with the recent ban.
Flavored cigarettes are more appealing to young people due to the various flavors which include, cherry and other fruity tastes.
“FDA takes the enforcement of this flavored cigarette ban seriously,” Dr. Lawrence R. Deyton, director of FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products, said in a statement.
Cigarettes account for thousands of lung cancer cases each and every year in the US and other countries but despite their danger, millions of people continue lighting up.
