Swine Flu Vaccine Results in Anaphylactic Reactions in Canada

November 25, 2009

As many as 6 bad reactions have been documented in Canadians given the swine flu vaccine provided by GlaxoSmithKline
Boston (DbTechNo) - As many as 6 bad reactions have been documented in Canadians given the swine flu vaccine provided by GlaxoSmithKline.

Luckily none of the cases were fatal, and all victims have recovered from their initial bad reaction.

Anaphylactic reactions can be very serious, with symptoms including difficulty breathing, and rashes.

All the cases were in Canadians who received shots from the same batch of the vaccine, distributed starting
November 2.

The company have halted distributing the batch in question and are running tests to determine what the problem is with it, if any is actually present.

According to Caroline Grondin, a spokeswoman for Canada’s health ministry it is unknown exactly how many doses of the vaccine batch have been administered to Canadians at this time.

Despite the reactions being documented, the ministry insists that the vaccine is safe and effective.
