Diabetes Cases Could Double in Next 25 Years

The future looks gloomy in America when it comes to diabetes and associated health care costs
Boston (DbTechNo) – The future looks gloomy in America when it comes to diabetes and associated health care costs.

Results of a new analysis suggest that by the year 2035, the number of Americans living with diabetes could double, a move that would result in a tremendous strain on an already taxed health care system.

Currently it is estimated that more than 22 million Americans live with diabetes, more than 6.5 million of them enrolled in some form of Medicare plan.

In 25 years from now, the report finds that more than 14 million Americans with diabetes would be relying on the country’s Medicare system for their drugs.

The study is published in the journal Diabetes Care and paints a dull picture when it comes to the country’s economic situation when it comes to diabetes care.

America is one of the unhealthiest countries in the world, a fact that is not helping the diabetes situation in the country.

With high rates of obesity and smoking, both of which can lead to diabetes onset millions of Americans currently not diabetic are just asking for the actual diagnosis to be made.

The researchers insist that more awareness campaigns need to be run to make Americans more aware of the dangers associated with living poorly, one of which is being diagnosed with diabetes.
