Boston (DbTechNo) – It maybe too early to build any real hope but it does appear that cases of swine flu are on the down low.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) the virus is now only wide spread in 32 states, down from 43 earlier this year.
In more good news related to swine flu it appears that the current vaccine is very well suited to the virus, and is also abundant, meaning that it is available for all who want to receive it.
Speaking of those who want to get it, in Ottawa Canada, officials are contimplating closing down some swine flu clinics because some residents do not appear interested in receiving it.
Earlier in the year, line ups were very, very long and the vaccine was in short supply, forcing many residents of the city into frustration and prompting some to resort to unfair tactics such as paying people to hold their spots in line.
According to CDC director Dr. Thomas Frieden there is a “window of opportunity” here because of the drop in positive cases of swine flu and the increase of available vaccine.
