Results of a new study suggest that having fatty thighs and a big butt can actually be good for you
Boston (DbTechNo) – Results of a new study suggest that having fatty thighs and a big butt can actually be good for you.

Researchers of the study say that their findings show that although having fat around the belly area is dangerous, having a fatty behind is actualy healthy.

This study contradicts many other study findings that have shown risk factors associated with a person’s body mass index, and their risks of a wide array of health problems ranging from high bloodpressure to diabetes.

Konstantinos Manolopoulos of Britain’s University of Oxford, leader of the study explains the findings of this interesting study.

Apparently, the fat that is on our rear ends and thighs actually traps harmful fatty particles from harming the body, thus reducing the risk of heart attacks and early death.

“It is the protective role of lower body, that is, gluteofemoral fat, that is striking,” Manolopoulos wrote in the International journal of Obesity.

“The protective properties of the lower-body fat depot have been confirmed in many studies,” he added.
