Boston (DbTechNo) – It is being reported by Kraft that they will begin to reduce the amount of sodium they include in their food sold in North America.
Sodium content of food is at an extreme level and rarely is there any form of food nowadays that does not contain it in an abundant amount.
According to the company, they want to start appealing to health conscious consumers, thus they have decided to lower the sodium content in their food.
They plan to lower the amount of sodium by 10% over the next 2 years, a move that will effect more than 1000 food products.
“We are reducing sodium because it’s good for consumers and, if done properly, it’s good for business,” Rhonda Jordan, president of health & wellness at Kraft Foods, said in a statement. “A growing number of consumers are concerned about their sodium intake, and we want to help them translate their intentions into actions.”
