Dark chocolate proven to lower blood pressure, stroke risk

With Easter right around the corner, chocolate lovers rejoyce as a study finds that eating the dark stuff in moderation is good for you.

According to researchers, eating a moderate amount of dark chocolate per week can lessen the risk of high blood pressure.

Having high blood pressure can also result in increased heart attack and stroke risk, so it makes sense that if your blood pressure is lower, the risk of heart attacks and or stroke would also be lower.

No need to get too excited however, as the German researchers of the study, define a “moderate amount of chocolate” as up to a half a bar per week.

Those of you who indulge on a more regular basis, will not benefit extra from the antioxidents found in the sweet stuff, and may actually be increasing the risk of ill health.

So, have you had your moderate amount of chocolate this week?
