Household Cleaning Products Raise Risk Of Breast Cancer
A new study has found a link between common household cleaners and an increased risk of breast cancer in women.

Writing in the Tuesday addition of Environmental Health, researchers explain how they came to this interesting finding after comparing women with the disease to healthy women and the cleaning routines of all the participants.

The results were astounding with those women who were more apt to use an array of household cleaners up to 100 times more likely to develop breast cancer than those women who never used chemical cleaners.

The researchers noted that air fresheners and cleaners used to control mold and mildew posed the most risk for women and that pesticides appeared to pose the lowest risk.

Household cleaners do contain a lot of chemicals and can be very dangerous if ingested and have that signiture smell that is impossible to miss upon entering a clean room.

The researchers say that this is the first such study to be done to investigate the link between household cleaners and associated breast cancer risk.
