MS Symptoms Heat Up During Warmer Weather

US researchers have found out that symptoms associated with multiple sclerosis tend to change in severity depending on the time of year.

Researchers compared brain scans of MS patients at various times of the year and by doing this they were able to identify brain activity that was stronger during certain seasons than others.

When it comes to higher levels of brain activity associated with the disease, the researchers noted that spring time and summer appear to be the worse times.

This is a critical study finding as it could mean that medicines used to treat the disease could react differently in the body depending on the time of year they were given.

Researchers do not really know why MS symptoms appear to heat up in the warmer weather but their study shows that this is indeed the case.
