Army Modifying Fitness Requirements For Overweight Recruits

The army will be modifying fitness testing for its recruits because more fat and obese people are unable to complete the manditory fitness exercises.

This is a sorry state of affairs because we all know that the army is not for everybody and it takes a lot of blood, sweat and tears to make it as a US soldier.

The army is seeing a huge influx of overweight and unfit recruits, and to make sure that they are able to provide man power for various global causes they have no choice but to slacken off when it comes to their fitness requirements.

Traditional fitness exercises for the army involve frequent fast running while wearing equipment, push ups, sit ups, and other strength exercises.

Because many applicants are unable to meet these requirements, the army will be adding more Pilates or yoga routine to make it easier for people to complete fitness tasks.

What do you think of the army slacking off on fitness requirements because of overweight recruits?
