Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelets Banned From Schools

Many US schools have banned a type of breast cancer awareness bracelet because of a slogan printed on them.

The bracelets in question bare the slogan, “I Love Boobies,” and have thus been barred from being worn by students.

The bracelets, which cost about $4 were made by Keep A Breast foundation, a non-profit foundation based in Calif.

“The bracelet is doing what it’s meant to do,” Keep A Breast founder Shaney Jo Darden told USA Today. ” It’s making people talk.”

“When we had an assembly the first day of school, I basically told the students we were not insensitive to the cause,” Baltic High Principal Jim Aisenbrey told USA Today. ” I do think there are more proper ways to bring this plight to the attention of people, and I don’t think this is a proper way.”

Do you think these bracelets should be banned from schools?
