According to reports, Yvette Wilson, a co-star on the 1990’s hit show “Moesha” died on Thursday after a battle with cervical cancer.

Wilson, 48, played Moesha’s friend Andell Wilkerson for five seasons and then appeared in the same role on the show’s spin-off, “The Parkers.”

Wilson’s former “Moesha” co-star Shar Jackson Tweeted on Thursday, “I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home,” according to TMZ.

Wilson had stage 4 cervical cancer and kidney failure when she passed away.

According to CNN, she also had trouble paying her skyrocketing medial bills. Her friend, Jeffrey Pittle set up a website “Give Forward,” where he raised $13,000 towards Wilson’s medical expenses.

“Yvette has experienced kidney failure, kidney transplants and cervical cancer, among other things,” Pittle wrote on the webpage. “Her cancer has come back after an extended retreat, and doctors are saying it’s very aggressive this time out.”

She has appeared in many comedy films such as House Party 2, House Party 3, Friday, and on Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam.
