February 13, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - Running out of space on your SD memory card in your digital camera? Panasonic has the solution as they have announced a Secure Digital memory card with 32GB of memory.
The SD card is called RP-SDV32GU1K and will ship out in April according to Panasonic.
The company stated that it has a “class 6″ speed rating, with the ability to transfer data from and to it at a rate of 20MB per second, extremely fast.
This comes just a few weeks after SanDisk unveiled their 32GB SDHC memory card for $350, with a slower transfer rate.
The price point for the 32GB SD card you ask? Panasonic stated that it will ring in at $700 when you bring the tiny little piece of technology up to the register.
It was unveiled at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
