Universal Studios Is Ready To Go Blu-ray This July

Universal Studios Home Entertainment President Craig Kornblau has announced that the studio is ready to go Blu-ray. The first releases on Blu-ray from Universal will be coming on July 22.

The releases will consist of the Mummy franchise, including The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and The Scorpion King.

These will all release around when The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor hits theaters. It will be released on Blu-ray before the end of 2008.

They have also detailed many other releases which will hit before 2008 is over.

These include The Incredible Hulk, American Gangster, Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Miami Vice, End of Days, U-571, and Land of the Dead.

Heroes: Season One, which was released on HD-DVD, will be coming to Blu-ray on August 26.

Universal will also release Heroes: Season Two on Blu-ray on that same date.
