Washington (dbTechno) - Paramount was one of the final companies to pull the plug on the now dead HD DVD format, before jumping over to Blu-ray. It appears that Paramount is now ready to unleash their first slate of Blu-ray titles.
The first wave of Paramount Blu-ray releases will be coming on May 20, just three weeks away.
The Hollywood Reporter got the news direct from Paramount, with some great releases coming on Blu-ray.
The first wave of releases from Paramount will consist of Face/Off Collector’s Edition as well as Next, both of which were released on HD DVD a year ago.
Also being released will be Deamworks’ Bee Movie.
On June 3, Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood will also make their way to the Blu-ray format.
On June 24, The Spiderwick Chronicles will hit Blu-ray, the same day it releases on DVD.
Paramount is ready to tap into their vast array of films and bring them out on Blu-ray. Needless to say, movie fans are ready!
