Rhapsody MP3 Giving Free Music Albums To Early Adopters
July 1, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - RealNetworks’ Rhapsody has announced that their new DRM-free MP3 store will be giving some free stuff to early adopters. The first 100,000 people to sign up at Rhapsody MP3 will receive a free music album.
It has been confirmed that songs sold on Rhapsody MP3 will be priced at $0.99, while full albums will be priced at $9.99.
This hasn’t stopped Rhapsody from going one step further to draw in new users though.
The first 100,000 to sign up received any free $10 album that they pleased.
There is no word yet on if the first 100,000 sign-ups have already passed, but reports state that the sign-up server has been hit pretty hard to this hpoint.
This all comes as Rhapsody MP3 tries to make as big of a splash as possible to beat out iTunes.
