September 9, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Prior to the big Apple media event, Microsoft has released a great deal of information in regards to an update to its line of Zune media players.
It is clear that Microsoft is ready to give their Zune players a big upgrade, as they have announced the launch of new 80GB and 120GB hard-drive based models of the Zune.
On top of that, they have also announced that the flash-based version of the Zune will now range in size from 4GB to 16GB.
This is not the only big upgrade that Microsoft has announced though, as they are also going to allow Zune owners to purchase songs over the internet via a Wi-Fi connection.
Using the FM radio aspect of the device, they will also be able to tag any song that is identified.
For the gamers out there, Microsoft revealed new Zune games such as Hexic and Texas Hold ‘em.
For those interested in pricing, Microsoft is going for the mass market with the 120GB Zune at $249.99, and the 16GB flash model at $149.99.
