Creater of iPhone Worm Lands Job with App Developer
November 26, 2009

Boston (DbTechNo) - 21 year old Ashley Towns has landed a job developing software for Apple after he created a worm called Ikee.
The worm was relatively harmless, and only changed the background wallpaper of a person’s iPhone to display a pic of 80’s singer Rick Astley.
Ashley stated that he created the little bugger to bring awareness to security issues surrounding the iPhone, and Apple certainly have taken notice.
“It leaves a nasty taste that he has been rewarded like this, yet has not even expressed regret for his actions,” Graham Cluley of Security firm Sophos told BBC News.
Towns has landed a software job with Australian iphone app developer Mogeneration, who are very pleased with their hire.
“We interviewed Ashley, assessed him with our iPhone developer test - which he passed with flying colours - and we employed him today,” said a spokesperson for mogeneration.
