Two Cut Underseas Cables Should Be Fixed By Sunday

Jakarta (dbTechno) - According to cable operator FLAG Telecom, two of the broken undersea cables which provide data services to the Middle East and Asia should be fixed by Sunday, February 10th.
The company is a subsidiary of India’s No. 2 mobile operator Reliance Communications.
They stated that repair work is going well on the cable between Egypt and Italy, as well as the FALCON cable system near the United Arab Emirates.
They are hopeful that the repairs will be complete by Sunday so that data services can resume and everything can go back to normal.
This comes after four undersea cables were cut just last week, cutting off the internet to millions upon millions of people all around the world. Those in the Gulf region and South Asia were most heavily hit.
Companies were forced to re-route data services, slowing down the internet greatly.
Work continues on the other undersea cables.
