Windows Vista SP1 Renders Antivirus Programs Useless

Washington (dbTechno) - According to reports, the upcoming Windows Vista Service Pack 1 actually stops antivirus programs from operating properly. Vista SP1 apparently could leave many computers open to attacks as it basically disables the antivirus programs.
Microsoft stated that the Vista SP1 update blocks antivirus programs which are not compatible with the new update.
Microsoft stated that it does this because of “reliability reasons.”
After you install Windows Vista SP1, according to Microsoft, any antivirus program not compatible with the update will be rendered useless.
The antivirus programs which do not work with Vista SP1 include BitDefender 10, Trend Micro Internet Security 2008, Zone Alarm Security Suite 7.1 and others.
Microsoft has already delayed the launch of Vista SP1 due to compatability issues with software drivers and such.
They expect to have Vista SP1 rolled out to the public in the middle of March.
