February 28, 2008

Google Inc. has lifted the curtain and unveiled a brand new plan to give patients in the U.S. full control over their medical records, allowing them to have their own personal medical records kept right at their fingertips, whenever neededWashington (dbTechno) - Google Inc. has lifted the curtain and unveiled a brand new plan to give patients in the U.S. full control over their medical records, allowing them to have their own personal medical records kept right at their fingertips, whenever needed.

Google announced that they have signed deals with many hospitals and companies. Those who have signed on with Google include Walgreens, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., as well as many others.

The new web service is going to allow patients to store health records.

Users will have the ability to input doctors’ records, test results, drug history, etc, giving them full control to keep tabs on their own medical records.

Google stated patients will be able to refill prescriptions and schedule appointments right through the new service.

This comes one week after Google announced a deal with the Cleveland Clinic to test out the service.
