Martin stated that Comcast clearly blocked peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing on their networks, and did so quite often.

He stated that Comcast used techniques for widespread blocking of P2P file-sharing on their networks.

Martin stated that this was not used on occasion to delay traffic, but instead was used quite often.

He spoke in front of the Senate Commerce Committee, stating that the FCC continues to look into complaints filed by consumer groups in regards to Comcast.

The complaints all state that Comcast blocked or delayed file-sharing services for no good reason.

Comcast put out a statement on Tuesday defending their network management practices.

Martin insists though that based on what they know to this point, it is clear that many users were not able to take part in file-sharing services such as uploading and downloading files.
