This has led many to believe that iGoogle could turn into a social networking site. The new sandbox launched by Google works off of the OpenSocial tools Google revealed in 2007.

The new OpenSocial tools which have been unleashed in iGoogle have led many to believe that iGoogle could lead to a much-talked-about Google social network.

The iGoogle social network could end up being Google’s answer to Facebook and MySpace.

Google is already attracting tens of millions of users to iGoogle, and they could easily take the iGoogle user base and turn them over to the new social network.

There is no word as of yet whether or not iGoogle fans will want their service to turn into a social network, but it is looking more and more likely that it could become a reality sooner rather than later.
