Google Protects Identities, Blurs Faces In Street View

A lot of the criticism is due to the fact that people feel like their privacy is being violated by these pictures. Google is hoping to fix this by adding a feature to blur out faces, and protect identities of those in the photos.

Google’s big fix for the problems with Street View will be to blur out the faces and protect identities of those who are captured on these pictures.

This is a necessary fix before Google is allowed to bring Street View global, outside of the U.S.

In Europe, Canada, and Australia they are far more strict than in the U.S. when it comes to privacy in public locations.

This means that Google would not be allowed to launch Street View without a feature such as this to protect people.

Google is currently working to get the new technology in all images on Google Street View, but has begun the process in Manhattan.

So far things seem to be working well with the new feature, as the technology detects faces very well according to reports.
