Blue Cross Signs With Google Health, Brings Medical Records Online
June 13, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts has signed on and become the first health insurance company to join in the Google Health project.
The Google Health project will place the personal health records of patients from the health insurance provider on the Internet, giving patients the power to have access to their records at all times.
Google launched Google Health back in May, allowing patients to store and organize their own medical records online.
The members of Blue Cross will have their records up online in a secure location.
They will have access to such things as their records, prescription histories, etc.
They can also take this information and share it with other providers and such as well.
