Flickr Co-Founders Jump Ship From Yahoo
June 18, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - Flickr co-founders Caterina Fake and Stewart Butterfield have announced that they have left Yahoo.
The two are married and have had a great deal of success with Yahoo, which really kicked into gear when they sold their baby Flickr to the company in a multi-million dollar deal.
The news came that Fake had officially left the company last Friday, while Butterfield will leave on July 12.
Rumors state that the married pair may be either heading to Google, or getting ready to begin a start-up company.
Departures like this aren’t really surprising, but this could be a bad sign for Yahoo as they cannot afford to lose any more creative talen behind-the-scenes.
