The story first broke in The Financial Times, as they reported that Ballmer has admitted that Google has won the search engine war.

He gave credit to Google in a variety of ways, such as how they worked around their business model, building it and gearing it towards search.

He admitted that Google has won in the search engine war for now, but Ballmer is not ready to quit just yet.

Ballmer also stated that Microsoft plans to make Google play catch-up soon with new advancements.
