The idea behind it is that they are looking for a citizen journalist to go out to political conventions and cover everything from top to bottom.

MySpace, the highly popular social networking site, will work with NBC and MSNBC to recruit citizen journalists.

The contest will be done via video, and the winners of the contest will be sent to the Democratic and Reublican conventions.

From there, they will have the chance to work and be seen on MSNBC.com as well as MySpace Impact.

Videos for the contest can be submitted through MySpace Decision ’08’s home page.

The three questions that need to be answered in the video include, Why do you vote? Why are you the best person for this job? How will you stand out in the crowd and get the scoop no one else can.

Deadline for entries is July 16.
