Study Shows People With Dial-Up Do Not Want Broadband
July 3, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Some people just do not like to do things quickly it seems. According to a new survey carried out by Pew Internet and American Life, many dial-up users simply do not want to upgrade to broadband.
According to the study, 14% of dial-up users stated that they are stuck with dial-up because they simply cannot get broadband.
19% of dial-up users stated that they simply love their dial-up, and nothing anyone would do, could get them to upgrade.
The vast majority though state that broadband is simply too expensive for them to take on.
PEW found that over 50% of all American adults are now on broadband at the home, up from 47% a year ago.
The number of people in the U.S. with dial-up is now down to just 10% It appears though that those who are sticking with dial-up have no urge to change and move into the fast lane.
