FCC Chairman Wants Comcast To Rid Of Traffic Management System
July 14, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - FCC Chairman Kevin Martin has come out and stated that he wants Comcast to rid of their traffic management system.
Comcast has gotten into a bit of trouble over the past months, as they have been accused of purposely slowing down internet traffic for users downloading and uploading files through peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing networks.
It was originally reported by the AP that the FCC Chairman Kevin Martin was seeking a fine against Comcast.
This appears not to be the case though, as instead he simply wants Comcast to get rid of their current traffic management system.
By doing this, Comcat will no longer be able to block users from downloading and uploading files.
