San Francisco Network Admin Pleads Not Guilty To Charges
July 18, 2008
San Francisco (dbTechno) - Terry Childs, a 43-year old San Francisco city computer network administrator, pleaded not guilty to four counts of felony computer tampering on Thursday.
He was arrested on Sunday, and alleged to have taken control over the city’s network.
When he did this, he prevented people from managing to access records, including payroll files, law enforcement documents, jail inmate bookings, and more.
Child entered his not guilty plea in San Francisco Superior Court Thursday, and remains in custody on $5 million bail.
A bail hearing is set to take place on July 23. It is believed he took full control by changing the access codes of other administrators, taking control over the entire city’s network.
