No Bail Reduction For San Francisco Hijacker Terry Childs
July 24, 2008
San Francisco (dbTechno) - Terry Childs remains in jail as the former San Francisco network administrator had his plea for a reduction of his bail rejected on Wednesday.
He was hoping to have his bail reduced from the $5 million it is currently set at, especially after he handed over the network passwords to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom.
The bail hearing was held at the San Francisco Superior Court on Wednesday morning, but it did not go well for Childs.
Judge Lucy McCabe heard arguments in favor of Childs, but went against reducing the bail.
The 43-year old Childs was arrested on June 13, charged with four felony counts of computer network tampering, as well as causing losses over $200,000.
On June 17, he entered a plea of not guilty and has not cooperated much to this point beyond giving back the network passwords.
