This comes just two days after the creators of Scrabulous pulled the game from Facebook, following pressure from a lawsuit filed by Hasbro.

Hasbro filed a lawsuit against the creators of Scrabulous recently, pushing to have the game removed from Facebook.

Hasbro owns the North American rights to the word-game Scrabble, and released an official game with Electronic Arts on the social networking site.

Just two days after Scrabulous was removed from Facebook though, the pair of brothers from India are back again with a new word game, Wordscraper.

Wordscraper is an attempt by the creators of Scrabulous to appease Hasbro in a sense, changing things just enough so that they cannot get into any further trouble.

Instead of square tiles, the tiles in Wordscraper are circles, and can feature various point values.

The boards of the game are also very different, as players will be able to create their very own, making it look just how they rish.

Hasbro has put out a statement in regards to Wordscraper, stating they will “act appropriately when necessary.”

Prior to Scrabulous being pulled from Facebook, it was drawing nearly 500,000 users each day, compared to under 50,000 for the official Scrabble game.

The creators of Scrabulous hope that users will now convert over to Wordscraper, and continue having fun without any impending lawsuits hanging over the game.
