Following Chrome Launch, Gmail Upgraded For IE6 Users
September 8, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Last week, Google jumped into the Web browser market with the release of Google Chrome. They have followed this up though by upgrading Gmail for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) users.
The Web browser market is heating up by the day, as Google Chrome is currently in beta, as is Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.
Mozilla Firefix is set to release Firefox 3.1 in the next few months as well.
Google has gone back in time a bit though by putting out an upgrade to Google Gmail for IE 6 users.
This will provide many new features for Gmail users who also browse with IE6.
Such upgrades include AOL IM integration, new labels, and more.
