Over 20% Of Employers Use Social Networks To Hire

Boston (dbTechno) - According to a new survey, over 20% of employers in the U.S. use social networking sites to help hire potential future employees.
The survey was carried out by CareerBuilder.com, an online job site.
The idea behind the survey was to get a better understanding as to how popular social networking sites are with employers.
What they found, out of the 3,169 hiring managers they spoke to, was that 22% of them used social networking sites.
They used these social networking sites to check up on future potential employees.
This could give them a better understanding of their personal life, drinking, drugs, etc.
On top of that, another 9% of those who responded stated that they would be using social networking sites very soon for the first time.
34% of these hiring managers who used social networking sites actually dropped potential employees from their selection list do to what they found.
