Virgin America Launches Wi-Fi Service During Flights
November 24, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Virgin America has announced the launch of their in-flight Wi-Fi service on Monday.
The launch is a beta test that is going to last for a period of one week.
The goal is for it to launch commercially on December 1st after they work out all of the bugs and such.
This is a very aggressive move for Virgin America as they are trying to garner more passengers from other airlines.
The system being used comes from Aircell and will be on all Virgin America planes by the middle of 2009.
Those who take part in the beta test with Virgin America will be able to use it for free.
