Apple Lowering Production of iPods, iPhone, Macbook

February 8, 2008

According to a financial analyst, Apple may be lowering production in the first quarter of 2008 for the Macbook, iPod and iPhone.Boston (dbTechno) - According to a financial analyst, Apple may be lowering production in the first quarter of 2008 for the Macbook, iPod and iPhone.

According to reports, Apple is apparently reducing the number of iPods, iPhones, and Macbooks they plan to build in the first quarter of 2008.

Craig Berger of FBR Research stated that the first quarter is usually always a let down for technology companies after the fourth quarter.

Berger is stating though that Apple is cutting production in a big way.

He stated this is “likely reflecting less-than-expected sell-through in Q4, or thus far in Q1.”

There was no word if these decreased production numbers of the iPhone, iPod, or Macbook included the new products such as the Macbook Air, 16GB iPhone, or 32GB iPod Touch.

One thing is for sure, and it is that Apple stock is in a rough way right now, falling another $7.36 on Wednesday to drop to $122. In 2008 the stock is down 37%.
