Netblender Links iPhone, iPod Touch To Blu-ray Players, Including PS3
April 10, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - A new company by the name of Netblender has come out with a brand new program called BD Touch, for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The new program allows users to connect their iPhone or iPod Touch to their Blu-ray players. including the Sony PS3, through an internet link.
The first Blu-ray player which will use this new technology is none other than the Sony PlayStation 3.
This is because the Sony PS3 is the only Blu-ray player currently available with the ability to link up to the internet.
BD Touch will use the Wi-Fi capabilities of the iPhone and iPod Touch, as well as the networking capabilities of Blu-ray players to connect the two in a sense..
NetBlender is set to announce the new program today, allowing your iPhone or iPod Touch to basically act as remote controls for Blu-ray players.
You will also be able to send movies from the player to the iPhone or iPod Touch.
Many other possibilities exist as well such as advertising, accessing information on the internet about the movie, etc.
